It's my dream come true: Allu Sirish

When the actor got a call from KV Anand he could not quite believe it

After Lyca Productions brought on board superstar Mohanlal for Suriya’s next, tentatively titled Suriya 37 and to be directed by ace KV Anand, now they have roped in Telugu actor Allu Sirish for a key character.

Allu Sirish made his Tamil debut with Gowravam in Radha Mohan’s direction a few years back. He also made his Malayalam debut alongside Lalettan in the film 1971-Beyond the Border. Sources reveal that Sirish has landed a plum role that goes with Suriya’s character throughout the film. Sirish was on cloud nine when DC contacted him.

A thrilled Sirish says, “When I got a call from KV Anand sir, for a moment I could not believe it. Even before coming to films, when people ask me my wish list of filmmakers with whom I want to work, Anand sir’s name was right there on top. I came down to Chennai and listened to the script and was all the more happy as it was a crucial character and the perfect flick for my comeback in Tamil after a gap.”

Though he was tightlipped about the details of his role, all he said was “it has a bearing on the script and goes along with Suriya sir’s. And it is a big budget mass commercial film”.

A self confessed fan of Suriya, Allu Sirish says, “I am an ardent fan of Suriya sir and always keep post something or other about him on my social network handles, which would invariably turn out to be trending for the day. Even fans of Suriya sir urge me to work with him and they were ready to support. And when, this project came, I didn’t want to let go the opportunity. All put together, it was like a dream come true!”
