D16 celebrates diamond jubilee run
The team celebrated the milestone by presenting memorabilia shields to all involved.

At a time when it’s rare in K’town for a small film to run for even two weeks at a stretch, here is Dhuruvangal Padhinaaru by the 22-year-old debutant, Karthick Naren, which has touched a 75-day-long run!
The team celebrated the milestone by presenting memorabilia shields to all involved. Gautham Menon, who was the chief guest, made it official that he is co-producing Naren’s next Naragasooran, which has Arvind Swami in the lead.
Speaking at the event, Gautham said, “Tamil cinema always welcomes new talent with open arms. Karthick Naren is one such example.
At 22, he is precise and has a lot of clarity. I wonder if I was like him at his age. I have not seen anyone making a film with such finesse. He was saying that he is a great fan of my movies — but after watching D16, I have become his fan! I am also happy to be part of his next film, titled Naragasooran.”
Besides the cast and crew including actor Rahman (who played the lead role), others who were present included producers KE Gnanavel Raja, Abhinesh Ilangovan, Rajshekar Pandian and Sakthivel.
