Sakshi Agarwal bags a Hollywood film!
Sakshi Agarwal, the model-turned-actress has bagged a Hollywood movie, Cherubs, produced by Chamblee Productions. This is thanks to her four-month stint at the prestigious acting school — Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute at LA, where she learnt method acting. She has got the credit of being the first south Indian actress to have taken up this course.
An excited Sakshi tells DC, “Though I had already started working in films, I wanted to hone my acting skills further. I had heard about The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, which has produced several talented actresses like Uma Thurman and Scarlet Johansson. Bollywood diva Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor were also alumni of this institute.”
She adds, “My main motive to join this course was to understand the craft and master it. I was the only person from Asia from among the ten students who were part of the course. We started with the relaxation technique, where you bring the body to neutral before approaching anything. It was a mind-blowing experience and I am confident that this course will make my cinema career more meaningful.”
On her Hollywood entry, she says, “I am thrilled! I play an Indian girl in the movie. The film is likely to commence in May.” Back home, she is busy wrapping up Jaikira Kuthirai, which has Jeevan in the lead.
