The 160-odd girl students of the teacher training course from Neyveli’s National College are bent upon watching the first day, first show of Jyothika’s Kaatrin Mozhi and the college management is making all arrangements for it. The entire college seems to be inspired by Jo’s films (in her second innings), which are motivational and bat for women empowerment.
Vairam and Vijayalakshmi of National College Trust tell us as the reasons for their move. “With the advent of technology and smart phones, more than good things, malicious content spreads very fast. No one has the any control over it. Under these circumstances, the kind of films Jyothika chooses and the good messages they impart raise self-confidence in women and they they are entertaining as well. All of us watched her earlier films 36 Vayadhinile and also Magalir Mattum. And we hope, Kaatrin…will also have clean content.”
