Sajo Sundar who has earlier worked with ace director Hari and Prakash Raj in films like Dhoni, Bangalore Naatkal is all set to wield the megaphone independently for a movie titled X Videos. Made in Hindi and Tamil, the movie speaks about the explicit sexual content that’s freely available online. “It is not a porn movie. It is actually a social awareness movie and I have never even taken any cinematic liberties to go overboard although the bold theme had lot of scope for it,” claims the director even as he explained how it was difficult to convince women from his own family. Akruthi Singh plays the female lead in a bold avatar.
Speaking about how the idea of revealing the mafia operating behind these perverted videos and making crores of money, he said, “One of my friends has got the hobby of watching semi-porn videos which come to him on his mobile. He also shares them with me. On one such occasion, I was shocked to the core that the lady in the video was my friend’s wife — and I was not sure if she was caught unaware! I asked myself where we were heading to and started a bit of research. I found out that people are doing it as a big business internationally. That’s when I decided to make a film to expose how people are vulnerable and lured into this trade. I had to convince my wife first, then the artistes and the technicians on the need for such a movie.”
The male actors include Abhinav, Nijay, Shaan and Ajayraj among others.
