Jyothika is a ‘Raatchasi’ in performance

Jyothika did a lot of homework, meeting many teachers and speaking to them and taking references to design her looks for the role of Geetharani, a government school teacher in Raatchasi, says the film’s director Gautham Raj.

He goes on to add, “I can’t think of anyone else for the assertive Geetha Rani except Jyothika madam. You will know when you watch the film. Now in her second innings, she is very particular about choosing characters, which have social relevance and responsibility. She also truly believes in what she portrays. That’s why she comes out with a superb performance. She is a ‘Raatchasi’ in acting.”

The movie imparts a huge message that a revamp and change in government schools is the need of the hour.
