My dad is my biggest critic: Shruti Haasan

The daughter of the Ulaganayagan was in Chennai as part of the promotion and a special screening was held in the city for him.

After the success of Si 3 in which she appeared in a commercial role, now Shruti Haasan is back to routine. The ravishing actress, whose latest Bollywood film Behen Hogi Teri hit the screens last Friday, has been traveling all over the country promoting it.

The daughter of the Ulaganayagan was in Chennai as part of the promotion and a special screening was held in the city for him.

Spilling the beans on the screening, Shruti said, “I was glad to show the film to dad and my close friends back home in Chennai. He has always been my biggest critic and he’s always given me the best advice with life and with my craft as an actor. I’m happy everyone enjoyed the film and my performance.”

Close sources said that the Puli star will be in the city for a couple of days to spend quality time with her dad before she flies out to London to give finishing touches to her musical collaborative works.

Meanwhile

The actress, who has been in several controversies in recent times, just got another big blow, with her recent Hindi film Behen Hogi Teri bombing at the box-office. Interestingly, the film didn’t get any openings and on the first day, the film collected only Rs 40 lakh, which is very low for a Hindi film.

This is not good news for the actress whose career is not doing well at all. Shruti recently opted out of the big budget biopic Sangamitra, after working for nearly six months in the film on pre-production. Even her last Telugu film Katamarayudu opposite Pawan Kalyan didn’t do well, with many criticising her outfits in the film. She didn’t bag any Telugu film after that and filmmakers too are steering clear because of her bad attitude while shooting the film.
