Trisha, Simran roped in for adventure thriller

Two ravishing ladies of Kollywood will be seen in underwater adventures in a new kind of genre with adventure and disaster.

The two ravishing ladies of south cinema —Trisha and Simran, whom we saw in Petta alongside Rajinikanth (although they never shared screen space together in the movie) — have been roped in for one its kind female centric movies directed by Sumanth Radhakrishnan of Sadhuram 2 fame. The big budget flick has an adventure thriller disaster genre, a theme, which has not been explored in Indian cinema, vouches Sumanth.

Speaking to DC, he said, “It’s not the regular female centric movies that you come across in Tamil cinema. It’s about two people who travel on an adventure trip, their bonding, what they come across in the process and how they deal with it. I can’t give out more at this point. It will be a new experience for the family audiences and kids would love it. There’s a real surprise awaiting you.”

We ask him how he convinced the two lead ladies for the film sans heroes. “It was the script which did the trick, I guess. They were very excited when I narrated the story. Both have equal screen space in the untitled project.”

Shot exclusively against a backdrop of water as on the seas, during rains etc, the two stars are given training in special action sequences like underwater stunts by foreign technicians, shot in real locales.

The film will be shot in various locations like Pichaavaram, Kodaikanal, Kerala and Thailand. Saravanan Ramaswamy, who has worked in films like Balloon and who is a former assistant of Nirav Shah in 2.O with vast knowledge of CG and VFX, will be handling the cinematography. Santhosh Dayanidhi composes the music. Produced in All in Pictures banner, the movie will go on floors from March first week.
