Actor, filmmaker and national award winner Cheran, who was on a long sabbatical, says he is back with renewed drive. Cheran launched his new movie titled Thirumanam, the first look and title of which was unveiled by Vijay Sethupathi on Wednesday.
Cheran is more known for his emotion packed realistic films like Bharathi Kannamma, Autograph, Thavamaai Thavamirundhu etc. His last film was JK Ennum Nanbanin Vazhkai with Sharwanand and Nithya Menen in the lead.

Other supporting cast includes Sukanya, Thambi Ramaiah, MS Bhaskar, Kavya Suresh, Jayaprakash and Manobala.
Produced by Premnath Chidambaram, the film has music by Siddarth Vipin. Cheran’s regular Rajesh Yadhav cranks the camera. As reported earlier, Cheran will be teaming up with VSP for a film soon.
