International honour for Merkku Thodarchi Malai
Vijay Sethupathi has now hit a home run with his second venture as a producer for Merkku Thodarchi Malai. Directed by Lenin Bharathi, the film has been selected for a screening at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), one of the highly-rated film fests in India. The film has been chosen under the ‘Indian Cinema Now’ category and will be competing with six other films. Incidentally, another Tamil film, Vijay Jayapal’s Revelations, which has received laurels at the Busan International Film Festival, will also be making an entry at the film fest.
Pawan Kalyan begins Vedalam remake
The movie will be directed by Neason (although the director of the original movie, Siva, is well known in T’town) of Jilla fame, and produced by AM Ratnam. It went on floors on the auspicious Vijayadasami day. “It will be a remake of the Tamil
blockbuster, Vedalam, but we have changed the script to suit Pawan Kalyan sir’s image,” confirmed Neason.
