Two Movie Buffs (2MB) is a new production house in town that will be funding Atharvaa’s Gemini Ganesanum Suruli Rajanum and Kayal Chandran’s untitled film by collaborating with T Shiva of Amma Creations.
Talking about his entry into production, Raghunathan says, “I have 12 years of experience in Sales and Marketing in Telecom industry. I also started a financial firm with my experience, but movies have been there in my mind since childhood. I’ve always wanted to act, and you can find my pictures in every production house in the city. My interest in cinema culminated in a production house called Two Movie Buffs.”
The untitled movie with Kayal Chandran and Satna Titus in the lead will start rolling from July 15. “This is a heist comedy and will have Parthiepan, Chaams, and Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara Dani in pivotal roles,” he added.
As a newcomer, Raghunathan is confident that he can survive in this industry by choosing the right scripts. He stated, “Some people who get into production will only look at the brownie points that will make them rich. However, for me, I am taking films as a passion. I’ve heard over 40 scripts before finalising on a project. I am quite confident that this film would do well, considering the genre of the movie.”
Raghunathan also announced that they have narrowed down four to five films with debutant directors as their upcoming projects.
