Director Ponram’s earlier films, Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan, went on to become major hits in the industry. These two projects have earned him the image of a director, who can successfully write village-based commercial entertainers. His third project is no different!
The untitled film marks the third-time collaboration of Ponram, Sivakarthikeyan and Soori. The filmmaker has roped in Samantha to essay the female lead.
The yet-to-be-titled flick was announced way back in August 2016. Now, with meticulous planning and preparations, the team is all set to go on floors.
Speaking to DC, director Ponram says, “Shooting of this movie will begin on June 16 and the first schedule will go on for about a month. Samantha is also part of this schedule and we will shoot important sequences in Kuttralam and several places in and around Tenkasi.”
The director and his team of assistant directors are now busy with script reading sessions. Minor tweaking and final touches are being given to the story.
As reported earlier, Samantha will put her silambam skills on display and the director claims that it is a role that she has never attempted before. Unlike Rajini Murugan and VVV, which were full-fledged comedy entertainers, this movie will be high on action.
