Actress Monal Gajjar, who did films like Sigaram Thodu and Vanavarayan Vallavarayan, went on a small break before she signed a biggie in Tamil. She was roped in for a significant role in director Soundarya Rajinikanth’s second project, Velaiyilla Pattadhari 2, starring Dhanush, Kajol and Amala Paul in titular roles.
It was also stated that Monal’s role in the film is similar to Surabhi’s role in the prequel.
According to recent developments, we have learnt that the actress has opted out of the project citing date issues. Speaking about her decision, Monal reveals, “I shot for two days in the city for VIP 2 and I had a ball of a time. However, I got busy with films in Gujarati and my dates weren’t coinciding with the movie’s schedule . So, I had to opt out of the project.” However, the team hasn’t revealed anything about the actress who might be replacing Monal Gajjar in the movie.
Recently, it was announced that Kajol, who is reportedly playing the role of a businesswoman, has completed shooting her portions. Currently, the last schedule of VIP2 is underway and it is expected to be wrapped up soon.
