Nevaz Suleiman has a kid goat playing the main character. Nevaz, who has worked with top filmmakers like Kamal and Fazil, speaks about the genre and message the film imparts.

Speaking about the film, Nevaz says, “The emotional entertainer is about Anbu who tends to goats and the bond he shares with his black kid goat. For Anbu his goats are like his family. When one of his pet goats gets lost, everything becomes topsy-turvy for him. And when he hears that it is being taken for sacrifice, things get tougher.”

Actor Naresh Madeswar, who had his tutelage in Koothu-p-pattarai and was hitherto seen in small insignificant roles, turns the lead protagonist and essays the goatherd and Haarisa Begum, who has done a few Malayalam movies, is his onscreen romantic interest.

The movie has been shot in Kurangani forests, Cumbum and Theni among other picturesque locations. Faris, Prakash, Kesavan, Prithvi, Anoop Satheeshan, Anbil Manimaran form the supporting cast. Kannan Patteri is the DOP.
