Film director makes a comeback after 15 years
Ravi Appulu, who directed Vijay-Richa Palod film Shahjahan, returns to wielding the megaphone after a gap of 15 years, with a movie Seyal. Set in North Chennai, Ravi has roped in Rajan Tejeshwar and Tharushi for the lead roles.
Talking about his film, Ravi says, “It is a story about a North Chennai dada, who controls the entire Thanga Salai market. At a certain occasion, when the hero, who comes to this area, attacks the dada in front of the entire crowd and puts the latter to shame. The dada is out to take revenge on the boy.” The action-genre film will also have humour and romance thrown in proportionately.
“The romantic portions have come out very well as every time the heroine wants to confess her love, something unexpected happens and she will be put off,” he adds. While Aadukalam Jayabalan plays the dada, Munishkanth essays a crucial role. Siddharth Vipin composes the music.
