As reported earlier, actress Lavanya Tripathi backed out of the Tamil flick 100% Kaadhal which is the Tamil remake of Telugu flick 100% Love that starred Naga Chaitanya and Tamannaah. While it was announced that GV Prakash had been roped in to reprise Chaitanya’s role, there were problems in finalising the heroine for the flick.
Now, Shalini Pandey who rose to recognition with her performance in Telugu film Arjun Reddy seems to have bagged the offer! “While Shalini had been getting several offers post Arjun Reddy, she chose this one as it would be something very different from her first film. Also, she’s very much in demand now and she’s looking to choose wisely,” shares a source in the know.
Another interesting aspect is that the actress is being approached for a lot of Tamil projects which she would like to take up in future.
Shooting was supposed to commence in August, but was pushed due to the confusion with Lavanya Tripathi’s dates. Now, that the cast is in place, the film produced by Sukumar will commence soon. The remake will have debutant Chandramouli helming affairs.
