Bharathiraja's associate Gurusekara makes his debut

The story of Valayal is set in Chennai and there are three songs in the film, composed by Murali Subramani.

There are several directors on the likes of K Bhagyaraj, Manivannan and Manobala from Bharathiraja’s school who made their mark as a director in K’Town. Here is another director Gurusekara from the herd, who is all geared up to set foot in the industry. His debut film Valayal which was shot in 45 days is produced by BR Makers.

Speaking about the film, Gurursekara says, “Valayal is a romantic entertainer about a jobless guy and a mute woman. Hero (played by Sakthee Sivan) meets heroine (Bhavya Sri) in a tricky situation during a Holi celebration in the city. The characters of Sakthee and Bhavya fall in love and the latter chooses not to disclose that she is mute. There comes a time when she had to reveal that she is speech impaired and that her sister has been covering up for her. Will Sakthee overlook her condition and accept her, is the crux of the story.”

The story of Valayal is set in Chennai and there are three songs in the film, composed by Murali Subramani. Actors Manoj K Bharathi, Pathinaaru Vayathinile Sathyajith, Chaplin Balu, Avan Ivan Ramraj and Nippul Jack play supporting roles.
