Sananth wants to make it big in K'town
Sananth is slowly climbing up the ladder with the kind of films he is choosing. He made his debut in Ajay Gnanamuthu’s Demonte Colony and was flooded with positive responses. His role as Jaguar Jagan in Siddharth starrer, Jil Jung Juk, made people in the industry sit up and take notice of his performance.
The talented actor, who is on a high after the success of his recently-released web series, As I’m Suffering From Kadhal (directed by Balaji Mohan), is now eagerly looking forward to the release of his next feature film, Mercury. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Mercury is a silent thriller, a one-of-a-kind attempt in Tamil cinema. Speaking about the film, he says, “I play the protagonist in the film and Prabhudheva will be seen as a baddie. It was an enriching experience to work with a passionate team.”
Sananth also shares that he didn’t expect his character, Badri from Balaji Mohan’s web-series to impress the audience. “Honestly speaking, I never thought that the series would become a huge hit. The responses are overwhelming and to think that people relate to the characters, Badri and Divya (played by Sanchana), tells us that they are welcoming of such new concepts,” he reveals.
The actor also adds that he wants to take it slow in the film industry. “I wanted to show a difference in each character that I’m portraying. I received quite a few offers last year and had to miss out on a couple of projects as I was looking for diverse roles. I’m in talks for more projects and will be signing them shortly.”
