Director Hashim Marikar’s film with actor Jai, titled Kanavil Kanda Kadhal Kavithai was supposed to begin last year, but was pushed due to undisclosed reasons. Now, the director is busy shooting for his next project, Un Kadhal Irundhal, featuring Maqbool Salmaan, Harshika Poonacha, Kasturi, Lena, Arthi Nagpal, Riyaz Khan, Vaiyapuri and many more actors playing significant roles.
Speaking to DC, director Hashim says, “Un Kadhal Irundhal is a hardcore thriller film with horror, suspense and commercial elements added to it. The movie follows the ‘story within a story’ pattern and we are currently into the second schedule. We will be shooting the songs in UK and the talkie portions are being shot in Chennai, Kochi and Rameshwaram.”
Actress Kasturi, who is in the news for her political statements, will be playing dual roles in the movie. “Kasturi plays an actress and a character named Jessy in this movie. So far, the film has panned out exceptionally well and we are planning to release the film sometime in September. Kannada actress Harshika Poonacha is making her Tamil debut and she essays the role of a college girl.”
Actors Chirag Jani, Jenson, Ansil, Sona Heiden, Sreeya Ramesh, Sakshi Dwivedi and Gayathri will be seen in prominent roles. Produced by Marikar Arts, the movie has art director Arkan S Karma, costume designers Aravind and Shanthi Krishna, cinematographer Sajith Menon cranking the camera and Praveen KL as the editor. While Kabilan pens the lyrics, Mansoor Ahmed will be scoring the tunes.
