After concentrating on his recently-released film Thondan, multi-faceted Samuthirakani is now focusing on his acting projects. While he is busy shooting for Kaala and Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai, he is also busy with the post production work of Aakasha Mittayi (Malayalam remake of Appa).
The latest development is that the actor may play the antagonist in the adaptation of Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaaram. A source discloses, “The actor is in talks to play a role with grey shades. But, Samuthirakani hasn’t finalised anything so far. He is figuring out his dates, so he could join hands with director Priyadarshan yet again after Oppam.”
Udhayanidhi Stalin has been roped in to reprise Fahadh Faasil’s role in the remake of this venture. As of now, MS Bhaskar is part of the supporting cast and the makers are planning to finalise the rest of the crew in few weeks.
Priyadarshan, in an earlier interview with DC, stated that the story will be altered to suit the Tamil audience. Currently, the director is working on the script....
