Of goat, twists and turns

Oru Kidayin... which will see both Vidharth and Raveena as a married couple, is in the post-production stage.

Vidharth-Raveena starrer Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu, was in the news recently, because it was rumoured that the goat, which plays a pivotal role in the film, was treated poorly and tortured.

Director Suresh Sangaiah begs to differ. “Maybe, the title would have created false assumptions in the minds of animal activists. Till date, we have never received any official notice on this. The plot revolves around the ritual of offering goats to gods and the story unfolds from the point of view of the animal. Initially, we bought this goat from a villager who named him Arvind Swamy and later we changed his name ‘Raasu’. Now, the goat is like one of our family members,” he says.

Oru Kidayin... which will see both Vidharth and Raveena as a married couple, is in the post-production stage. Debutante music director Raghuram, scores the music, while RV Saran, who has done the cinematography of Vizhithiru, handles the camera. Interestingly, noted dubbing artiste Raveena, who had recently dubbed for Amy’s character in Atlee’s Theri, is making her acting debut with this film.
