The release of Goli Soda 2, directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker Vijay Milton, which had been scheduled for a May 18 release has been postponed to June 14. The film, a sequel to Milton’s earlier hit and award winning movie with the same name, has all newcomers in the lead. While Samudhrakani plays a crucial role, director Gautham Vasudev Menon appears as villain in a special cameo.
Since there are several films in the queue waiting for release and Kaala hitting the screens on June 7, the Tamil Film Producers Council has advised Milton to postpone his release.
The makers have made this decision to release on June 14, almost a month later than scheduled date. Vijay Milton took to his Twitter space to write, “With due respect to producer council’s initiatives v postponed our release and now #Golisoda2 from june14th NEJAMMAVE.”
