Film releases are getting postponed at the eleventh hour due to various reasons like financial settlements owing to the failure of the actors’ earlier films or some fringe groups objecting to the movie citing it hurts their sentiments. But Arvind Swamy, who has been actively promoting his May 11 release of Bhaskar Oru Rascal, is clueless why the movie didn’t show up on the said date.
A peeved Swamy, sharing his disappointment, said he is not aware of the reason why the movie has been postponed although the response for the film’s pre-booking has been good.
He posted on his social media page,, “I am given to understand that Bhaskar 0ru Rascal has been postponed again. I am not aware of the reasons for this postponement despite a very strong advance booking. I can only share my regret and disappointment.”
He added, “I have supported the producers while making this movie and thereafter. However, since I feel as misled as those who have been waiting for this release, I will not be tweeting the next proposed release date. If and when you do watch it, I am sure that you will enjoy this movie as it is a total entertainer. I wish the whole team the very best. I also take this opportunity to wish great success to the other films releasing tomorrow. [sic]”.
It is a remake of Mollywood flick Bhaskar The Rascal starring Mammootty and Nayanthara in the lead. Siddique who did the original has directed this movie as well.
