Dhanush started his career with Thulluvadho Ilamai on May 10, 2002 and he recently completed 15 years in the Tamil film industry. It has been a surreal experience for Dhanush, who won a national award at a young age, and successfully handled multiple tasks — by turning producer, lyricist and singer, screenwriter and a filmmaker with Pa Paandi this year. Another feather in his cap is that he is bankrolling his father-in-law Superstar Rajinikanth’s next under his home banner Wunderbar Films.
On the occasion, the national award-winner thanked all his fans, media and credited his success to the directors and producers he has worked with. He also thanked his family who stood by him through thick and thin.
We also hear that the actor has completed the present schedule of Vada Chennai and will soon join his Hollywood movie with a clean-shaven look.
Meanwhile, he announced that his much-anticipated movie VIP2 will release on his birthday on July 28.
Thanu, one of the producers of VIP 2, reminisces to DC about his earlier production with the same title. He said, “In 1997, I funded VIP starring Prabhudheva, Simran and Ramba under my home banner V Creations. In 2014, Dhanush produced VIP (Velaiyilla Pattadhari). Now, in 2017, we have joined hands for VIP2. Looking back , it is a great coincidence for me!”
