Looks like national award winner Seenu Ramasamy, known for his emotional, rural based themes, is trying his hands in a ‘whodunnit’ subject for the first time. He has roped in Arulnithi for the lead protagonist role and his regular composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has also been brought on board.
Seenu, who is awaiting the release of Vijay Sethupathi’s Maamanithan, says, “Though this movie is also set in a rural milieu, it is a crime thriller with a quirky backdrop. I am still working on the script.” Like Seenu’s earlier films, instead of mere glam girl, the heroine of this film also has a huge bearing on the script and hence the filmmaker wants to cast an apt actress, says a unit source.
Arulnithi, is awaiting the release of the psychological thriller, K13, directed by Barath Neelakantan.
