After the success of his previous work, Chennai 600028: Second Innings, director Venkat Prabhu is devoting quality time on his next project. He is teaming up with producer T Shiva of Amma Creations for a light-hearted entertainer interlaced with romance elements. Rumours are rife that the Masss director has finalised the lead actors for his next venture. According to reports, Kayal Chandran and Nivetha Pethuraj are said to be in talks for the movie. A source in the know tells us, “It is true that the team is considering Chandran and Nivetha for the movie, but they haven’t been brought on board officially as of now. The project is in pre-production stage and the director is busy giving final touches to the script. The actors might sign the contract in the coming weeks.”
Shiva and Venkat Prabhu’s collaboration go back to the Saroja days. “They have mutual respect for each other and have been planning to come together for a long time. This will be another great movie from them,” the source adds.
