A cyber crime thriller for Ganesh
To go with the current scenario, where social media plays spoilsport and seems to be a threat to all, here is Inayathalam, a cybercrime thriller which touches upon the issue. While Ganesh Venkatraman plays the protagonist as an investigative officer, Shwetha Menon, who also essays a cop, will be seen as his pair. The film is directed by duo Shankar-Suresh, a pioneer in making short films.
Speaking to DC, Shankar says, “Today, everyone is obsessed with social media. They indulge in a lot of things — good and bad, and our film will reflect upon the impact of this on our society. A cybercrime takes place and how Ganesh, Swetha and Erode Mahesh crack it forms the rest of the story.”
He adds, “We have done our research on the subject. I am basically a hacker. The cyber laws are very vague. And even the infrastructure available is not enough. The story also involves hacking and a hacker device.” Arrol Corelli has composed the tracks and the title song was rendered by SPB.
The team is also releasing a book, Man is a Social Animal and his Social Media is a Zoo, penned by noted author Marabin Maindan Muthiah, during its audio launch and will distribute it amongst college students for free.
