The most hated face of 2018

Although he struggled in initial days, the actor, who started his career as a dubbing artiste, has his kitty full now.

Vinod Sagar, who played the perverted teacher Inbaraj in Vishnu Vishal’s 2108 psychological thriller Raatchasan, directed by Ramkumar, won high praise for his performance.

“After the film got released, people who saw me outside recognised me and were cursing me and I feel it is the victory for my character. Lot of people said that I was the real ‘raatchasan’ (demon) in the movie. Thanks to Ramkumar, who is a friend of mine from the days when he won ‘Naalaya Iyakkunar’ series. I acted in his China Tea short film. Later when he did Mundasupatti, he gave me the Mokkaiyan character, which also earned me good name. Though he offered me a different role in Raatchasan, I opted for this teacher character, which had lot of scope for performance.”

Vinod says that ace Radha Ravi is his role model. “I want to earn a name like Radha Ravi sir. He said that I did a great job in Raatchasan, which was the biggest compliment to me,” he quips.
