Composer, singer and host Gangai Amaren has been honoured with the prestigious Harivarasanam award by the Government of Kerala and Travancore Devaswom Board.
This award will be presented by Minister Kadakampally Surendran along with a cash amount Rs 1 lakh, on January 14 at Sabarimala Devasthanam. Singers KJ Yesudas and SP Balasubramanian have been recipients of this award earlier.
