The shooting of Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal, which stars Jai and Pranitha (who was last seen in Suriya’s Masss), and is directed by writer-turned-filmmaker Mahendran Rajamani is progressing at a brisk pace in the city. Bankrolled by Vansan Movies, it also has an ensemble cast of Thambi Ramaiah, Kaali Venkat, Karunakaran, and Naan Kadavul Rajendhran, among others.
Apparently, Kaali Venkat essays the role of an ardent fan of Thala Ajith in the movie! He plays a share auto driver with Ajith’s pictures and punch lines all over his vehicle. One of the prominent captions reads, ‘Malayudan Modhu, Thala-yudan Modhadhe!’ (Bunt even a mountain, but not Thala Ajith!’)
While an important scene was being canned in the city, a huge crowd thronged the sets as they heard rumours that the film being shot starred Ajith, and everyone wanted to get a glimpse of the star. Much to their disappointment, they found out it was a shooting for EVA, with Kaali Venkat! However, post Irudhi Suttru and Theri, he has become a name to reckon with — and people cheered him on and cleared the spot after watching him shoot for a while.
