Comedy is the toughest thing to handle, says Adithya

Adithya Menon, who was so far seen in villain and other versatile character roles, is trying his luck in comedy for the first time. The actor, who is super busy in T'town, returns to Tamil after a gap for his mentor's Saran's flick Market Raja MBBS, where he essays a key character.

Speaking to DC, he says, "I started with veteran K.Balachander sir, who called me for his series Anni. He promised me that he would make sure that I get good film offers as well. I was trying films simultaneously, when KB's protégé Saran introduced me in Jay Jay. I also did Maharajan's Anjaneya and had back to back releases that year."

Now, after 13 years, when Saran called me for MR MBBS, I gladly agreed. I am thankful to him for seeing me in this quirky role, he adds.

So, what do you play in the gangster film set in North Chennai, we ask. "I also somewhat play a thug, a primary character who appears throughout the flick. The protagonist undergoes a certain challenge and I guide him to come out of it, narrated with lot of hilarity."

He goes on to add, "I realised comedy is toughest thing to handle, although I started with theatre and did several stage plays. Of course, they were in English. But, MR MBBS was totally a different experience."

On sharing screen space with ace Radhikaa, he reveals, "We have known each other for quite some time, although this is the first time I am sharing screen space with her. She is a bundle of energy and highly motivational."

On the lead guy Aarav (of Bigg Boss fame) he says, "He came well prepared for action scenes. He is grounded, despite a huge fan following."

Aditya is happy he has bagged yet another interesting film Vishal's Thupparivaaln 2, a sequel with the same name. "When Mysshkin calls me, no questions asked. I'll join the shoot soon in London."

In Telugu, the actor has his kitty full, including a dance-based film Naatyam, where he essays a bharatanatyam guru and Venky Mama with Venkatesh
