Tamil Nadu’s biggest cinematic icons, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, have not come together on screen for a very long time, but now they may reunite — in the most unexpected of ways. Not on screen. Their union is to be a merger that could shake Tamil Nadu politics like never before.

Reliable sources say that Kamal and Rajini are all set to join hands and form a new political alliance, whose common goal will be to fight off corruption that has taken hold of the state.

“They have met for very serious discussions on the possibility of a merger. It may seem like they are opponents in their political ideology, but both Kamal and Rajinikanth feel now is the time for them to set aside their differences, and emerge as one strong anti-corruption force.
