Actor Santhanam’s father Neelamegam passed away at the age of 69 on Friday evening in the city. A civil engineer by profession, Neelamegam was ailing for the last few months.
Confirming the news, Santhanam’s cousin Nagaraj told DC, “He was admitted at the Global Hospital in the city for the last one-and-a-half months due to liver complications. He breathed his last on Friday evening.”
Neelamegam is survived by his wife Ponnu Kannu and only son Santhanam.
His body was taken to the actor’s residence at Pozhichalur and the last rites will be performed today.
