A stellar cast for Rajamouli's next?
Director SS Rajamouli is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to the art of filmmaking. His last film Baahubali: The Beginning, is the best example. It shattered box-office records and went on to become a huge hit across the globe. As the sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, is gearing up for an April release, rumours about his next venture have already started doing the rounds.
On several occasions, Rajamouli has expressed his interest in helming Mahabharata with a huge star cast. It seems like the visionary director is trying to pull a coup of sorts by bringing in leading actors from different languages for his pet project. Sources reveal that talks have been initiated with Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan and Mohanlal to be part of the prestigious project.
When DC contacted story and screenplay writer KV Vijayendra Prasad, he stated that the project wouldn’t be Rajamouli’s next venture. “Right now, we are yet to finalise on the cast and other details. It is a long process and it will take a long time to materialise. Of course, I will be working on the screenplay of the film,” the Bajrangi Bhaijaan story writer reveals.
Currently, the post production work of the Baahubali sequel is underway in 33 studios across the globe. SS Rajamouli might probably think about his next project only after the sequel releases.
