No title problems for me: Udhayakumar

Director-turned-actor Perarasu said in a lighter vein, \"It is safer to be an actor than directing a film.

'Rising Star of the Year' awards were presented recently for the best talent in Tamil cinema. The 'Best debut actor' award went to Nandhan while Aruvi actress Aditi Balan bagged the 'best actress' award. Arun Prabhu won 'Best debut director' and Araam Gopi bagged the 'Best writer' honour.

Director-turned-actor Perarasu said in a lighter vein, "It is safer to be an actor than directing a film. Because, despite your slogging it out so much as a director, you don't get the due respect these days. Hereafter, I am planning to concentrate more on acting so that in a few years time, I can become an MLA or at least aspire for it."

Director Udhayakumar revealed that he has lined up quite a few films. "I would not face the title problem for my future movies. I can keep Ejaman part 2 or Singaravelan part 2". Those two blockbusters with Rajini and Kamal were directed by RVU. While director Vikraman, president, Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association presided, RV Udhayakumar and Perarasu graced the occasion and gave away awards.
