Palli Paruvatthile is a tribute to all teachers
Vasudev Bhaskar, who is all set with his next film Palli Paruvatthile’s release, which is based on the real life incidents he experienced at school and shot at the same campus in Tanjore, is confident that the film would fetch a national award. It is about high school teachers.
Nandhan Ram, son of noted music composer Sirpi, is debuting as the male lead and actress Venbha, who was applauded for her cute acting in Kadhal Kasakkudaiah, essays the heroine. Ace filmmaker KS Ravikumar has been roped in for a central character designed after the true-life personality headmaster Sarangan. While Sarangan is keen to raise every student, he mistakes his own son who is also studying in the same school. The repercussions that follow form the rest of this school-romance.
Talking about minor hitches during the process of submitting the film for the censor certificate, Vasudev says, “We had problems projecting poultry, which are grown at home. There were some changes made in song lines and they also asked me to remove the reference to our Prime Minister in a dialogue. All said and done, the members who watched, came out so emotional and we were given ‘U’ Certification. It’s a tribute to all the teachers in the world.”
