Actor Ashwin Kakamanu, the handsome youngster who made his mark with Ajith Kumar’s blockbuster hit Mankatha, is all set to tie the knot with Sonali, his long-time girlfriend and a postgraduate in textile designing from the National Institute of Design.
Before making an entry into tinsel town as an actor, Ashwin was a short filmmaker. Close sources say that it was during one of those occasions when he came across Sonali’s pictures on social networking websites. He had approached her to act in his short film. It didn’t materialise, but the duo went on to become good friends. And the rest, as they say, is history!
Sources say that since Sonali is a Christian and Ashwin a Kamma Naidu, the wedding will be a simple affair at a registrar office in the city. A grand reception is being planned for December 23! Sshhh… the venue has been kept a secret.
After Idarkkauthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara and Zero, Ashwin’s career is on an upward swing. He is currently busy with movies like Thiri, Thollaikatchi and Idhu Vedalam Sollum Kadhai.
