Vijay joined hands with a relatively new director, Atlee, for Theri, which went on to become one of the blockbuster hits of 2016. The latest buzz is that the actor-director duo is all set to team up for the second time for a movie, which is likely to be produced by Sri Thenandal Films. A source close to the Raja Rani director revealed, “Initial talks are on between Atlee and Sri Thenandal Films on the production front. It is too early to talk about the film and we believe things will firm up in a couple of days.” According to reports, Atlee is planning to retain the technical team of Theri for this film as well.
Vijay, who is currently shooting for Bharathan’s Bhairavaa is likely to choose Atlee’s untitled venture as his 61st movie in his career. Also, if this project materialises, Atlee will be one of the few directors to do back-to-back films with Vijay!
