Karthi, who is gearing up for the release of Gokul’s Kashmora, is presently shooting for Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai in the city. Recently, a photo of the actor in a clean-shaven look has grabbed eyeballs in Kollywood. When DC contacted Karthi, he said, “Yes, I will be sporting two to three looks in the film, including the clean-shaven one.” The actor was also spotted recently at Telugu film director Krish’s wedding ceremony, looking fitter than ever!
Karthi goes on to say, “60 per cent of the movie has been completed, and we will resume the shoot in the coming days.” According to sources, a Holi-themed song was shot at Binny Mills, and a celebratory sequence at the Victoria Public Hall.
After wrapping up Kaatru Veliyidai, Karthi will be teaming up with Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai fame. He reveals, “It is a cop film and I will start shooting for it by November or December.” After Siruthai, the actor will once again be seen as a cop in the yet-untitled film.
