Vimal and director Sargunam shot to fame with their debut collaboration Kalavani, which went on to become a blockbuster. Later, the duo did Vaagai Sooda Vaa, which won the state as well as the national award. After a gap they are together for Kalavani 2, a sequel to their earlier movie.
Apparently, when they were looking out for a heroine, their first choice was Oviya, who was the lead girl of the first part. And Oviya’s stint in Bigg Boss has put her in the limelight and the svelte girl is in demand in endorsing brands as well as in films.
Sources close to the team revealed that a peppy song ‘Ottaram Pannadhe’ with Vimal and Oviya grooving for the tune is being canned at a dilapidated bungalow set. Maniyamudhavan, who wrote the chartbuster number ‘Alungugiren Kulungugiren’ for Chandi Veeran, has penned the lyrics for this song.
