Nikki Galrani's tryst with dancing
In her career spanning three years, Nikki Galrani has acted in a record 25 films and she is one among the promising heroines in the industry. As she gets excited about her latest release, Motta Siva Ketta Siva, she opens up about her role, her co-star and her film journey so far. Playing a journalist isn’t new to Nikki as she had pulled it off with ease in Ko 2. She begins, “Once again, I play a journalist in Motta Siva Ketta Siva. Unlike Ko 2, she is chirpy, more like a desi version of a journalist.”
Pairing up with Ragava Lawrence is a tough job as he expects only perfection. “Lawrence master is an all-rounder. He is not just a dancer but an excellent actor, director and his knowledge in every field of cinema is vast. He gave me acting inputs while shooting for the film. It was a pleasure working with the entire team and it has been a great learning experience,” she adds.
In the 25 films that she has done, she rarely gets the opportunity to showcase her dancing skills. However, in Motta Siva Ketta Siva, she has grooved to the remix version of the famous song, Aadaludan Paadalai Ketu.
Has she gotten used to dancing? — “Every film is a different experience and MSKS is no exception. One extraordinary factor in the industry is that you can never stop learning. I’ve gotten more comfortable with dancing and have grown as a person and actor. It has been a fun journey!” With half a dozen films in hand, does she ever get worked up? “It’s the opposite for me, If I don’t shoot for a day, I get worked up. I just can’t sit jobless and I am someone who keeps doing something. It’s been three years in the industry and I have already completed a quarter of a century!” she concludes.
