Sonia Agarwal, who has been missing in action, is back with a powerful role as a police officer in a movie titled Evanavan. The film, which is an action thriller and based around the menace of mobile phones, will definitely give a break to Sonia, vouches its award-winning filmmaker Natty Kumar.
“It is a very meaty role for Sonia and she has given an excellent performance. When I told her that it’s a cop role, she prepared herself by hitting the gym every day and she even shed a few kilos to get that tough look,” says Natty, who won the state award for his earlier flick Mei Porul.
Sonia, on her part, says, “After working for a long time, what matters for me is to work in quality films with solid roles. I found that Evanavan was one such film which was interesting as well.” While actor Vincent Ashokan plays another cop, newcomers Akhil and Charan are also part of the cast. The audio was recently launched with a host of celebrities including S Thanu, SA Chandrasekhar, and PL Thenappan, taking part in it.
