Actor-director Parthiepan, who is awaiting the release of his directorial Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga, which has Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Parvathi Nair as the leads —has already chosen his next project. The director will be producing his mentor K Bhagyaraj’s comeback film, which will feature Shanthanu in the lead role.
It is a known fact that Parthiepan has high regards for his mentor. He says, “Honestly speaking, we all want Bhagyaraj sir to return as a director. So when the idea cropped up, I thought I can produce it. Even though I struggle to produce my own films, it is definitely a privilege to work with him again. There is no business motive behind this move. I took this decision because I have the opportunity to spend time with him and share his burden.”
Out of the respect he has on Bhagyaraj, the multi-talented actor is also ready to work as an assistant director in the film. “I’ve been telling everyone that Shanthanu’s market will expand after the release of KIN! So, if I am doing another film with him, the script has to be strong enough. KIN’s trailer has got three-and-half lakh views — and there is a huge expectation for my film,” he asserts. K Bhagyaraj’s previous directorial was Siddhu +2 in 2010. His comeback film as a director is sure to get the fans excited!
