Music composer Taj Noor, who was in news for his unique attempt of composing folk music for Thirukkural, had a different experience while he scored music for his upcoming movie Guru Uchchathula Irukkaru.
The film has Aara of Paisa fame and Jeeva, a newcomer in the lead roles. Debutant Dhandapani directs the film.
Speaking at the audio launch of the movie, Taj said, “The normal practice in the industry is that filmmakers narrate the script to music directors and explain the appropriate situations for the songs. But I had a different experience with Guru Uchchathula Irukkaru. The makers completed the entire film and only then, they came to me for the composition. It was very challenging creatively. However, the director gave me full freedom. Thanks to my lyricists Pa Vijay, Snehan and Meenakshi Sundaram for giving me the best lines in a short time.”
Even Snehan, who is the most wanted after Bigg Boss echoed a similar view — “I was called in the last minute to pen a song for the promo. I am happy that it has shaped up well.”
