Actor Karthi is teaming up with Jeethu Joseph of Papanasam fame for an edge of the seat suspense thriller, which is being bankrolled by Viacom18. The B'town production company confirmed the news and also revealed that they have joined hands with actor Suriya's 2D Entertainment banner to make an array of Tamil movies in the future.
Karthi told DC he is resuming shooting of his upcoming flick Dev from October 10 at Kullu Manali. The shooting of Dev, directed by Rajat Ravishankar and which has Rakul Preet Singh as Karthi's romantic pair, was disrupted two weeks back following heavy rain and landslides in Himachal.
“The story needed certain scenes to be shot only in the backdrop of mild rainfall and snowfall. Also, a few portions of the film were canned before the floods started there. So, we have no choice but to continue the shoot in the same locale. The situation is now under control,” Karthi reveals.
It is learnt that Karthi’s brother Suriya is also shooting there in the same location for his untitled film with KV Anand where the actor will be seen as a high ranking national security officer.
