Chennaiite Bavithra, a model-anchor, is excited about her upcoming film Aalukku Paathi 50 50, with actor Sethu of Kanaa Laddu Thinna Aasaiya fame. In a candid chat, the upcoming actress speaks about the film and her future plans in K-town.
“I am an MBA graduate and was working in a reputed corporate company for more than three years. My passion for modelling and anchoring made me quit my job,” says Bavithra, who is associated with a renowned Tamil channel.
Talking about her role in the film, she says, “I play a schoolgirl in the film and I am one of the younger sisters of the lead heroine played by Sruthi Ramakrishnan. All the three sisters fall in love with Sethu, who is a tenant in our house. The rivalry between us will make for a hilarious watch!” she laughs.
Directed by debutant director Krishna Sai, the film also has Bala Saravanan, Pattimandram Raja, and Sriranjani in main roles.
“There is another lead actress in the film, but the makers have kept it under wraps — and even we haven’t been told about the character and its relevance to the story,” she says.
Ask her if she has a coveted role in mind, and she quips, “I don’t have such specifications. If the character is a good one, I don’t mind playing it even if it is not the lead in the film.”
And like many aspiring actresses, she wants to join hands with Vijay Sethupathi someday soon! “He is today’s heartthrob; I would love to share screen space with him,” she grins.
