Undoubtedly, the career of pretty actress Trisha was resurrected by Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan” which was released in various languages. Her gorgeous looks and decent performance was noticed by other language makers. Now, she arrives in Telugu to romance megastar Chiranjeevi in his new film. “She was last seen with Balakrishna in Telugu film ‘Lion’ but later she didn’t do any straight Telugu film because she wasn’t offered good roles,” says a source.
However, in between, she visited the Telugu audience with her dubbed horror movies like ‘Aranmanai 2’ and “Nayaki’ but the audience rejected her ‘ghost act’. “Trisha failed to impress Telugu audiences with her spooky thrillers. She was doing mostly Tamil movies like ‘Raangi’ and ‘96’, before ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ changed her fortunes and brought her back into reckoning in the south,” he adds.
It seems to be true as she signed a Malayalam movie opposite Tovino Thomas a few days ago and her career is surely on a roll as she is offered plum roles from various languages besides Tamil film industry.
