Oviya is a new ghost thriller, which has caught the attention of many. The movie, directed by Gajan Shanmuganathan has child artiste, Suviksha Jayaratnam playing Oviya, the ghost. The movie revolves around a child, who has been neglected because of her parents’ ego and dies accidentally. Whether the ghost of the child takes revenge on her parents or teaches them a lesson forms the rest of the story.
“Life has become very materialistic now, and in many families, we notice that the husband and wife hardly spend time together, and misunderstanding crops up. As a result, they start ignoring their children. The story has an important message for today’s parents,” says its director. Kandiban and Sri Lankan actress Mithuna play the lead roles. Padmajan is the music composer and Anis Rahman of Vijay TV fame has done the choreography for the film.
