Yuvan Shankar Raja, who was rechristened to Abdul Khalique after he embraced Islam, became a proud father on Thursday, with his wife Zafarunnisa giving birth to a baby girl at a city hospital. Interestingly, the little one’s birth coincided with Yuvan’s late mother Jeeva’s birthday. Musician Yuvan Shankar Raja married Dubai-based fashion designer Zafarunnisa in January 2015.
It is a known fact that Yuvan shared a close bond with his mother, and so, it was like a treasurable moment for the composer. His sister and singer Bhavatharini was the first to announce the news on her micro blog. She wrote, “My bro Yuvan got a baby girl on my mom’s birthday... God bless (sic),” Yuvan, who came back to Twitter after a hiatus, informed that both mother and child were doing well.
Meanwhile, many celebrities wished Yuvan on Twitter. Celebs including his cousin Venkat Prabhu, Simbu and Suriya have conveyed their wishes. “Congrats daddy @thisisysr it’s a girl baby on ur mom’s birthday!!! #trueblessing (sic),” posted Venkat Prabhu, while Simbu wrote, “Wishing my brother from another mother @thisisysr. Baby girl has bin born on his mom’s birthday and she is back with him. God Bless (sic).”
