The single track Megathoodham from Nayanthara’s Airaa, where she plays a dual role – as Bhavani and Yamuna - for the first time, was released recently. Composed by Sundaramurthy KS and sung by Padmapriya Raghavan, the lyrics for the song have been penned by Thamarai. Interestingly, the song has a tag line – Bhavani’s Anthem.
Directed by Sarjun of Echarikkai Idhu Manidhargal Nadamadum idam fame, the film seems to have two story arcs touching upon the issue of gender discrimination. Says Sarjun, “”It’s Nayanthara’s 63rd film, and I must admit, from admiring her as a fan to watch her act in person in this film has been an amazing journey.”
Apparently, the Bhavani character played by Nayan when paired with actor Kalaiyarasan looks unidentifiable that her beau and filmmaker Vignesh Shivn who praised the song has commented, ‘Interesting to cast this new girl who looks so familiar to #Nayanthara’ on his social media handle.
